The big screen comes to The Star Gold Coast every Monday and Sunday, when we play our favourite new release movies. Make sure you grab a pre-show bite and make a day of it… what better way to begin and end the week?

10.00am - The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (M) 

A writer forms an unexpected bond with the residents of Guernsey Island in the aftermath of World War II, when she decides to write a book about their experiences during the war.

2.00pm - Breath (M) 

Based on Tim Winton's award-winning and international bestselling novel set in mid-70s coastal Australia.

7.30pm - Last Flag Flying (M) 

Thirty years after they served together in Vietnam, a former Navy Corpsman re-unites with his old buddies, former Marines to bury his son, a young Marine killed in the Iraq War.

 

SUNDAY 10 JUNE 

2.00pm - Avengers: Infinity War  (M) 

The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

Charlize Theron portrays a mother of three who hires a night nanny to help out with her newborn.

7.30pm - Chappaquiddick (M) 

Based on the true story of Depicting Ted Kennedy's involvement in the fatal 1969 car accident that claims the life of a young campaign strategist, Mary Jo Kopechne.

SUNDAY 17 JUNE 

2.00pm - A Quiet Place (M) 

In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.

2.00pm - Deadpool 2 (MA)      

Foul-mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (AKA. Deadpool), brings together a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy of supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling mutant, Cable.

MONDAY 25 JUNE 

10.00am - The Bookshop (PG) 

Set in a small town in 1959 England, it is the story of a woman who decides, against polite but ruthless local opposition, to open a bookshop, a decision which becomes a political minefield.

2.00pm - Phantom Thread (M) 

Set in 1950's London, Reynolds Woodcock is a renowned dressmaker whose fastidious life is disrupted by a young, strong-willed woman, Alma, who becomes his muse and lover.

7.30pm - Life of the Party (M) 

After her husband abruptly asks for a divorce, a middle-aged mother returns to college in order to complete her degree.
