Head to Sky Terrace where you’ll find the amazing Glitterbox. This glitter-filled cube is your own personal nightclub where you and your friends can lose yourself in a world of sparkle. Pick your tune, step inside and let your dance moves shine.

Plus, enjoy a cool selection of DJs playing everything from hip-hop to soul and electronica to jazz. The DJ series is bound to get your party started. Bring your moves and we’ll see you on the dance floor.      

As the Principal Partner of the event, The Star is thrilled to share the great range of cultural festivities with some of the most exciting international and Australian artists set to perform at this year’s festival.

Sky Terrace will be open Friday to Sunday throughout the festival and on Australia Day, until Saturday, 28 January, with a tremendous line up of DJs performing. So come join us for some fun in the sun and enjoy the panoramic harbour view, delicious food and drinks.

Funkdafied

Created in 2006 by DJ and radio presenter John Cawley, Funkdafied offers an amazing line-up of local DJs. It was established to help develop the expanding funk and soul scene in Sydney and the rest of Australia, and encompasses many music genres including soul, jazz, funk, afrobeat, latin, disco, reggae and hip hop.

Nick Toth

DJ, producer, promoter and radio host Nick Toth collaborated and shared the stage with a multitude of local and international artists including Common and Missy Elliott amongst many others, and spins a dizzying blend of hip-hop, soul, funk, disco, dancehall reggae, soca, zouk and afrobeat.

Stephen Allkins [Love-Tattoo]

Sydney's disco godfather Stephen Allkins is one of the pioneers of dance music in Sydney, having played at disco clubs and warehouse parties in the 1970s and he has inspired a whole generation of DJs through his infamous sets in the decades since then.

A star attraction at the world-famous Central Park Roller Skate Jam in New York City, Misbehaviour has also blessed the decks at Output, Brooklyn Bowl, Santos Party House and The Roxy, and is a resident at Mobile Mondays (NYC's premier vinyl 45 party).

A veteran of Sydney's funk and house music scenes, Simon Caldwell has played at the infamous Funk Inc parties as part of the All Funked Up crew (Bentley Bar, Cricketers Arms), and as a funk, house and electro DJ in his own right.

Australia's First Lady of Disco, Club DJ and radio announcer CC:DISCO has been spreading the good gospel across dance floors and over the airwaves since 2010. Having played some of the world’s biggest dance music festivals, she's no stranger to a heaving crowd.

Adi Toohey

Since cutting her teeth on six-hour sets at the Different Drummer in Glebe and becoming a regular on Stephen Ferris’ Souled Out show on FBi Radio, Adi Toohey has become known for classic disco, boogie and electro-funk sourced from the dollar bins of New York and Tokyo.

Having pushed the ‘80s boogie sound via his weekly radio shows and club residencies in Sydney for years, Paris Groovescooter mixes up classic disco to ‘80s electro-funk.
