The Star is proud naming rights partner of The Doncaster Mile run at Royal Randwick.
About The Star Doncaster Mile
A handicap race run over a mile (1600m), the Group 1 Doncaster is run over the testing Randwick course. The first Doncaster was run on the first day of the Autumn Carnival in 1866. The naming of the race was in line with the custom of naming races, courses and enclosures as part of the transplanted English tradition of the turf. Over its long history there have been dual winners, heavy weights, jockey clashes and dead heats.
Dress your best and enjoy The Championships Day 1 at Royal Randwick which will feature The Star Doncaster Mile on Saturday, 2 April 2016.
