Thurston has excelled across every level, winning club premierships with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and North Queensland Cowboys, inspiring Queensland Maroons to more than a decade of Origin dominance and proudly representing his country as an Australian Kangaroo.

Along the way Thurston collected every award available. Dally M Player of the year a record 4 times, halfback of the year, several Golden Boots for the World’s Best Player and numerous International position awards, Clive Churchill and Wally Lewis Medals and many more. Thurston was also a finalist for the 2018 Australian of the Year.

Johnathan is a proud Indigenous and community leader, loving father and husband, who is universally respected both on and off the field. With his career coming to a conclusion this will be a unique opportunity to hear from Johnathan as he reflects on an illustrious life on and off the field.
