  1. You must be an a member of The Star Club to participate.
  2. Please swipe your Mahjong Australia membership card at our registration desk to register for the game. All other forms of registration (e.g. telephone, wechat) are not guaranteed.
  3. Players are required to complete the match once registered. If you abandon a match before it is finished, you may be banned from further participation.
  4. Late penalty: extra 30 points deduction for each missed game. Your seat may also be reallocated to other players, in which case you will not be able to enter the match.
  5. Tournament Directors have the right to adjust seating at any time. You must follow TD’s instructions when being seated. Friends and families are not allowed to sit on the same table. Violations may result in disqualification.
  6. During the game, players are not allowed to communicate in any manner except when calling for Chow, Pong, Kong or Win. Violations should be immediately reported to staff. Verbal warning will be given for the first offence, and 30 points will be deducted for the second offence. The player may be disqualified for subsequent offences.
  7. During the game, if a player wins from another player’s discard, both players are required to show their tiles to staff for verification. If a player refuses to reveal their tiles, verbal warning will be given for the first offence, and 30 points will be deducted for the second offence. The player may be disqualified for subsequent offences.
  8. No player or spectator may attempt to influence or offer advice to other player regarding that player's decisions of play.
  9. Any dispute or complaint concerning the game shall be resolved by a Tournament Director. Players must not settle disputes amongst themselves. The decision of the Tournament Director is final.
  10. It is your own responsibility to check your scores and position after each match. Please present your Membership Card to the registration desk to collect the prize if your name has been called. Prizes must be collected immediately after each match. The Star is not obligated to hold a prize for later collection.
  11. All results shall stand once the prizes have been distributed.
  12. A Tournament Director may invalidate the outcome of a game if any fraudulent act is perpetrated by any person that, in the opinion of the Tournament Director, affects the outcome of the game.
  13. Collusion with other players or any other form of cheating behaviour is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in a permanent ban from the tournament.
  14. By registering for the tournament, you agree to obey all the rules, terms and conditions. Please contact our staff for further information.
  15. The Star’s interpretation of these rules and its decisions are final.
