After three long days and 32 levels of play, Kahle Burns has emerged as the 2016 Sydney Championships winner!
Burns outlasted a record Sydney Championships field of 428 players, including a dangerous final table that boasted the likes of Matthew Wakeman, Andy Lee, Stevan Chew and Jarryd Godena.
Burns came into the day's play with a healthy stack and by the time the final table arrived he had stormed into the chip lead - a lead he held for the majority of the evening.
And although his heads-up rival Joel Cohen proved a tough but to crack, it was Burns who ultimately prevailed to take home a first prize of almost $300,000. Congratulations to Burns on his memorable win!
