6th May 2021: Reintroduction Of Restrictions

The NSW Government today announced that given the latest cases of community transmission and updated health advice, it has reintroduced COVID restrictions across Greater Sydney from 5pm today until midnight Monday, 10 May (subject to change). The reintroduced restrictions include:

 

- Face masks must be worn by all guests at all times at The Star Sydney (unless you are eating or drinking, communicating with another person who is deaf or hard of hearing or directed to remove the face mask to ascertain your identity)

- No drinking while standing in our venues

- No standing when playing at Table Game

- No singing or dancing in our venues.

 

We continue to require guests to check-in via the NSW App and ask you to get tested if you display any Covid-19 related symptoms.

At The Star Sydney, we want you to know that safety is our first priority. The Star will continue to follow its COVID-19 Safety Plan and directions from health authorities.

During the recent COVID 19 restrictions, we have taken a number of steps to make sure you continue to enjoy all the things you love most about your Membership to The Star Club.

You can view your Membership information, including Tier Status, Tier Review Date, Tier Point balance, Casino Dollars balance, and communication preferences when you log in to The Star App or at The Star Club website.

I would like to have my Tier Review Date extended as I have not been able to visit and will not be able to maintain my Tier.

Unfortunately, we are not able to change your Tier Review Date, however, please see one of our service team at the time of your next Tier Review and we will undertake an individual review of your account.

17 MARCH: DRINKING WHILE STANDING IS BACK

The restrictions around drinking while standing has been removed by NSW Health, meaning guests can now access our bars to order and collect drinks.

When visiting our bars, please be mindful to practise social distancing when queuing.

12 FEBRUARY 2021: EASING ON RESTRICTIONS

Effective from 12 February 2021, The Star Sydney will follow NSW Government’s direction to further ease restrictions that apply to hospitality venues. This includes venue capacity reverting to 1 person per 2 square metres, five guests allowed at each table game, and the mandatory wearing of masks no longer required in gaming areas. Entry will be at management discretion and based on capacity limits.

 

The Star will continue to follow its COVID-19 Safety Plan and directions from health authorities.

29 JANUARY 2021: CASINO OPEN TO ALL GUESTS

Effective from 29th January 2021, access to The Star Sydney’s main casino floor is open to all guests.

The Star Sydney will enforce mask-wearing at all guest entry points to The Star Sydney casino. The Star will continue to follow its COVID-19 Safety Plan and directions from the NSW Government and health authorities. This includes a venue capacity of 1 guest per 4 square metres, reduced contact and mingling between groups, social distancing and seated alcohol consumption. Visitors to any venue or area are required to register via the Service NSW QR code or Service NSW app. Entry will be at management discretion and based on capacity limits

 

Hygiene & Cleanliness:

     -   Frequent cleaning throughout the day of high contact touchpoints and areas.

     -   Physical distancing.

     -   Roaming social distancing attendants working to maintain 1.5m spacing.

     -   A reduced number of gaming machines are operating and restrictions implemented on how many players can sit

         at our table games.      

     -   Access to areas in our venue will be restricted if necessary during peak times to maintain social distancing requirements.

 

Record keeping in line with government requirements to ensure contact tracing if required:

     -  All members must swipe their membership card prior to entry.

     -   Non-members are required to provide contact details prior to entering our restaurants or gaming areas.

     -   Hotel guest details are kept at the point of booking.

2 JANUARY 2021: NEW ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE STAR SYDNEY

NSW Health has today made further announcements regarding necessary actions to be taken by guests visiting hospitality venues. To ensure compliance with the latest regulations, The Star has revised its entry procedures and advises guests that from 3rd January, The Star Sydney will enforce mask-wearing at all guest entry points to The Star Sydney complex. Any guest who arrives without a mask will be provided with a complimentary mask to use whilst at our venue. Should a guest refuse to wear a mask they will be refused entry to the casino.

 

Furthermore, guests are reminded that NSW Health requires any visitor to a hospitality venue to register their attendance via the Service NSW app:
 

     -   All Members of The Star Club must scan the Service NSW QR code and if entering a private gaming area your membership card.

     -   Non-members must scan the Service NSW QR prior to entering any restaurant or gaming area.

Sydney Lyric Theatre is following all regulations and recommendations from NSW Health to ensure the safety and comfort of our patrons. To allow everyone to have an enjoyable experience we have made some changes to the way we operate.

 

SOCIAL DISTANCING

All patrons are asked to maintain the adequate distance from other patrons outside their group.  COVID marshals will be onsite at each event to ensure social distancing guidelines are being met.

 

MASKS WEARING

Masks are mandatory at all times for patrons older than 12 years old.

 

IF YOU FEEL UNWELL, STAY HOME

If you or anyone in your group isn’t feeling well or you have been instructed to isolate please stay home and contact Ticketmaster prior to your performance by Midday at the latest on 1300 795 267 (select option 1 to speak to an operator) and a representative will assist with an exchange into a future performance (subject to ticket availability).

 

SHARE INFORMATION WITH YOUR PARTY

If you are the ticket purchaser, you will receive several pre-arrival emails from Ticketmaster and the Sydney Lyric Theatre, sharing this and other important information with you. Please be aware that only the ticket purchaser will receive these emails, so be sure to forward the communications onto everyone in your party so that they are all aware of what to expect on their visit.

 

SANITISE, SANTISE, SANITISE!

We will have hand sanitising stations located at several points of the theatre for your use. Please make sure to use these regularly during your visit.

 

CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS

All of our outlets are cashless, and we can only accept contactless payments at our bars, box office and merchandise shops.

 

COVID MARSHALS ARE THERE TO HELP

Our COVID marshals and ushers will be onsite throughout the event to monitor everyone’s safety, and to assist you in any way they can. If you feel uncomfortable at any time, please speak to one of our friendly staff who will assist you.
