New conference break-out space added to the Event Centre

The Star Event Centre has enhanced the conference capability of their $100 million state-of-the-art venue with the addition of a 700 delegate theatre-style plenary room. The new breakout space is located on the level 5 balcony of the Event Centre.

The Event Centre’s level 5 balcony is separated from the main floor with the recent addition of an operable drape; the balcony is now suitable as a conference or breakout space. The space features permanent theatre style seating and a world-class technology offering.

In addition, five new conference rooms will be added to the Event Centre by the conclusion of 2015, adding over 300 sqm of space.

Jayson Herron, Director of Sales at The Star is delighted to build on the flexible offerings of the Event Centre, tailoring these additions to benefit conferences.

“This new infrastructure adds another dimension to conferences at the Event Centre, providing opportunities for unique and innovative plenary and breakout sessions, which are supported by our in house team of event professionals and AV experts,” said Mr Heron.

The Event Centre’s in house AV team invested heavily in state of the art technology for the new level 5 break out space, including two Christie 14K HD projectors and 12 foot x 7 foot rear projection screens, giving a clear viewing experience for all delegates. With the addition of a portable JBL sound system and Digico SD11 digital console, the new breakout space will enhance conferencing experiences across The Star.
