RULE UPDATES

Please be advised that there have been some Texas Hold’em Poker rule changes which are now in effect at Star Poker Gold Coast. You can find more detail on these below:

RULE UPDATES

One Chip Rule:
When a guest places a single oversize chip with no verbal announcements or indications:

  • The oversize chip will be considered a call if other guests have already bet, or
  • The oversize chip will be considered a bet if no other bets have been placed (provided it is within the table limits).

Straddle:
A straddle is a voluntary bet placed by the guest to the immediate left of the big blind. The straddle bet must be twice the big blind.
Table Layout:
The muck circle will no longer be required to be printed on the layout. It is no longer a requirement for the muck to remain within the circle for any layout that still has the circle printed on it.

Community Cards Exposed in Error:
Flop - if the Flop is exposed before the completion of the betting round, the Flop will be taken back and reshuffled with the remainder of the deck. The burn card will remain in place.
Turn - if the Turn is exposed before the completion of the betting round the card will be taken back and set aside. The burn card will remain and the betting round completed.
A card will be burnt, then a new Turn card dealt and the betting round completed. The set aside card will be shuffled with the remainder of the deck and a River card dealt if required.
River - if the River card is exposed before the completion of the betting round, the card will be taken back and shuffled with the remainder of the deck and a new River card will be dealt.

    Meaning of Fold:

A player folds in a round of play if, in a round of betting, the player:

    a) Passes their cards face down on the table towards to the dealer who will collect them (cards will be live until mucked); or

b)Clearly indicates or announces to the dealer that the player wishes to stop taking part in the round of play.

If a player folds, the dealer must collect the players cards and place them in the muck.

Despite subsection 2, if a called player folds during a showdown and 2 or more active players remain, the dealer shall only collect the called players cards and place them in the muck after the winning hand or hands have been announced.
