Theatre

The Theatre is one of the biggest multi-functional theatres, with a mechanical thrust stage allowing for up to 2,150 people (seated and standing). With the ability to alter the size of the stage, the intimate venue is able to take on different configurations, transforming to suit a wide variety different concert and stage show styles.

 

No matter how it is set, the theatre will always be music to your ears thanks to the work of renowned sound engineering companies contracted to ensure a custom-designed 'perfect sound experience' for every seat.

 

What’s more, the Theatre boasts a purpose-built integrated movie projection booth, taking the action from centre stage to the silver screen with ease.

2. Enhanced disability access including elevator access to all levels
3. The entire venue has been acoustically treated
4. The multipurpose mechanical thrust stage can be lowered to form a flat floor area or raised to create a stage that projects well out towards the audience and allows performers to get much closer to the crowd
5. The stage is 18 metres deep in thrust (12 metres when not in thrust) by 15 metres wide
6. A pipe-grid lighting rig has been installed which allows for the lighting to be lowered to the floor so lights can easily be changed at stage level
7. A digital 3D cinema projector has also been installed with 3D and live content capabilities in a purpose built projection booth
8. The theatre boasts two bars across both levels
9. A purpose built movable merchandise store has been installed on the stalls level with a merchandise kiosk on the gallery level
