Current developments

Together with our consortium partners, we have committed to building our property’s first mixed-use hotel and apartment tower, which began construction in 2018.

Expected to open in 2022, this 53-storey tower will herald the entry of the internationally-acclaimed Dorsett hotel brand to Australia – and the Gold Coast – for the first time.

Adding to the excitement of this 4.5-star hotel and apartment tower will be new restaurants and bar concepts, a recreation deck with ocean views and a resort pool for hotel guests.

Hutchinson Builders is the appointed contractor for the tower’s development.

Hutchinson Builders will run a variety of select and public tenders for a wide range of works relating to the tower’s build.

All external business, contractor, or supplier work enquiries relating to the development can be made in writing to Hutchinson Builders’ Nikolas Cox via or visit their website for more information.

Our proposed vision for the future

Together with our consortium partners, our proposed future masterplan could see us inject more than $2 billion in additional tourism investment at The Star Gold Coast.

If fully delivered, it would involve a further four towers and associated resort facilities on Broadbeach Island such as new restaurants and bars, and increased entertainment and retail.

More information about procurement opportunities and the process for potential suppliers to register their interest and/or apply for this stage of the masterplan concept, and future stages, will become available in due course.
