Our proposed vision for the future

In another exciting step for The Star Entertainment Group, the Queensland Government confirmed approval in December 2016 to build a new hotel and apartment tower on Broadbeach Island.

The 53-storey tower will incorporate residential, hotel and retail offerings and is to be developed adjacent to The Star Gold Coast with its existing refurbished five-star hotel, integrated resort amenities and new luxury suite hotel The Darling.

The tower will feature 423, one-bedroom and two-bedroom residential apartments across the upper 33 levels, in addition to approximately 300, 4.5-star hotel rooms over 13 levels, above a podium incorporating new food and beverage, resort facilities, car parking and retail offerings.

Construction will commence pending satisfactory apartment pre-sales with an anticipated build time of around 36 months.

Together with the refurbishment of the property’s existing facilities and construction of a new luxury suite hotel before the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, the projects take The Star Gold Coast’s total transformation to a combined investment of up to $850 million.
