Being part of the Gold Coast community means giving back. We’re not just about entertainment – we’re also committed to providing support to make a positive impact in the community in which we work and play.
Together with Treasury Brisbane, we’ve contributed more than $100 million into Queensland communities since we opened.
Every year we continue to support a number of organisations and charities through partnerships, cash and prize donations, and sponsorships. It’s our way of giving back to the city we are proud to call home.
Surf Life Saving Queensland
The Surf Life Saving movement not only plays an important role in the lives of local Gold Coasters and visitors to our city, but also in the lives of our Team Members.
A major supporter of Surf Life Saving Queensland since 1994 – our partnership continues to grow to support the organisation.
As part of our partnership with Surf Life Saving Queensland we have been a major supporter of the iconic Jupiters Summer Surf Girl since 1994 and the annual Surf Safe Appeal providing much needed equipment to support surf clubs across the Gold Coast
In 2016, we offered CPR training to our team through our affiliation – providing the skills to help save a life.
Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation
The Star Gold Coast has a proud partnership with Gold Coast based Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation which supports and funds the vital work of the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
In 2016, The Star Gold Coast continued their support as platinum sponsor of Sanctuary Under the Stars and provided much-needed warmth to the animals during winter by donating hundreds of blankets to the hospital.
Gold Coast Hospital Foundation
Our partnership with the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation assists their mission to provide the very best in health care facilities, health education and medical treatment for the people of the Gold Coast and visitors to our city. Over the past two years we have worked with the Foundation by awarding scholarships to nurses and midwives and donating critical equipment for training and development of local health professionals.
The Star was a proud host of the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Ball for 2015 & 2016.
Cancer Council Queensland
The Star Gold Coast has supported Cancer Council Queensland for more than 20 years! Throughout the year we host a variety of fundraising and awareness activities such as Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day and Pink Month.
In 2015 and 2016 we furthered our assistance by commencing our support of their Cancer Counselling Service – Gold Coast which provides help to all Gold Coast community members distressed by cancer - including people diagnosed with cancer and their family and friends.
