An entertainment and leisure destination located within the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct.
Upon completion, The Star Brisbane and the Queen’s Wharf precinct will offer a mouth-watering array of restaurants and bars, four luxury hotels, 12 football fields of public space, an Event Centre with the largest hotel ballroom in Brisbane, and a variety of exciting entertainment experiences including Brisbane’s only casino.

We are central to many of Brisbane’s main attractions such as landmarks, stadiums, and Arts, Culture and Entertainment precincts.
Located directly opposite The Star Brisbane is the South Bank precinct, an arts and culture hub, housing the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC). All accessible by foot via the Neville Bonner Bridge.
If you are a sports fan or love outdoor entertainment, Suncorp Stadium (3km),The Gabba (2km) and Riverstage (1km) are all close by.
When will The Star Brisbane open?
The first stage of The Star Brisbane will open from 29 August 2024. With a range of restaurants, bars, cafes, accommodation options, entertainment experiences, public spaces and Brisbane’s only casino.
The excitement will continue throughout 2024 and beyond, with the opening of even more venues and experiences.

What will the opening hours at The Star Brisbane be?
The Star Brisbane will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exclusion of some public holidays. Restaurants, bars, cafés and retail stores will have opening hours that differ. Can I book to stay at The Star Brisbane?

Can I book / host an event / wedding at The Star Brisbane?
Yes. The Event Centre at The Star Brisbane will house the city’s largest hotel ballroom (2,000sqm), with flexibility to be configured to suit your needs.
There will also be a variety of different spaces and venues to host your event. From casual riverside celebrations to intimate group dining experiences and spectacular rooftop soirees for up to 1,500 people – 100 metres above the Brisbane River.

Where will The Star Brisbane be located and what will be the best way to get there?
Conveniently located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, The Star Brisbane offers great connectivity and is within easy reach of a multitude of public transport options. With bus stops, train stations including Central, South Brisbane and Roma Street, as well as the North and South Quay City Cat terminals at the foot of the precinct. There is also plenty of pedestrian and car access. The new Neville Bonner Pedestrian Bridge will connect South Bank to the Queen’s Wharf precinct. The recently upgraded Bicentennial Bikeway runs along the river's edge adjacent to the precinct and will offer end of ride facilities.
If you are arriving by car, there will be multiple drop off zones for Taxis and Ubers, and on-site parking for members and guests. More information regarding parking will be released shortly.
The International and Domestic Airports are also a short 20 minute drive or easy train or bus ride away.
Is The Star Brisbane accessible / wheelchair accessible?
Yes. There are accessible hotel rooms, fully serviced elevators to access each level and outlet, accessible movements routes, and help available if assistance is required.

What is Queen’s Wharf Brisbane?
Brisbane’s newest entertainment and lifestyle precinct encompassing The Star Brisbane, a diverse mix of new riverfront space, great dining options to suit every taste and budget, exciting nightlife and entertainment. Plus, local and international retail brands and world-class 4-star, 5-star and 6-star hotels.
Located in the CBD, on Brisbane’s river edge, the multi-billion-dollar development will feature iconic contemporary architecture alongside beautifully restored heritage buildings, and provide locals and tourists with more than 12 football fields of public space to enjoy. The development will also make Brisbane more connected with a new pedestrian bridge linking the CBD to South Brisbane.
Who is the developer for Queen’s Wharf Brisbane?
The developer of Queen’s Wharf Brisbane is Destination Brisbane Consortium, a joint venture partnership between The Star Entertainment Group, and Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium.
Destination Brisbane Consortium combines powerful Australian and global experience in property and hotel development, consumer and retail markets, entertainment and hospitality.
What parts of the precinct will be open to the public to enjoy?
Queen’s Wharf Brisbane includes 12 football fields of public space for locals and visitors to enjoy, including expansive lawns, parklands, riverfront areas and restored heritage buildings.
The iconic Sky Deck open to the public 24/7, places you 100m above the Brisbane River and gives you the best views of South Bank all the way to the hinterland (not to mention the best vantage point of an iconic Brisbane sunset).
Sky Deck will be one of two sky-high destinations on offer when Queen’s Wharf Brisbane opens with a second mixed-use space 37 metres above street level known as Leisure Deck also open for the public to enjoy. The impressive open-air garden in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, covers an area of 12,000sqm, equivalent to more than two football fields of space, and will become a spectacular public space for sunset picnics. It will be accessible for everyone to enjoy and available to hire as an event space. Featuring an Event Deck and exclusive resort amenities for hotel guests, the Leisure offers spectacular river and city views.

Treasury Brisbane
What is happening to the Treasury Casino and Hotel buildings?
Having been a place of excitement, entertainment and dining for locals and visitors since launching in 1995, the city’s only casino, Treasury Brisbane, will continue to operate during the construction phase and until the integrated resort opens in 2024.
Treasury Hotel will remain open for a period of time, providing an additional accommodation option in the historic heart of the Queen’s Wharf precinct.
What will happen to Treasury Brisbane Casino?
Treasury Casino will close when The Star Brisbane opens.

How long will the existing Treasury Hotel stay open and what is happening with the refurbishment of the building it is in?
Treasury Hotel will remain open and provide extra accommodation alongside The Star Grand while another two leading hotel brands are under construction in the Queen’s Wharf precinct. Once the new hotels in the precinct are completed and open, the heritage listed Treasury Hotel building, known as the Land Administration Building, is set to be restored and will re-open as a new heritage hotel.
